How does a water purifier filter?

The filtration level of a water purifier usually varies according to its design and function, but generally sp

eaking, the filtration level of a water purifier can be divided into the following main parts:

1. Primary filtration

PP cotton filter element: This is the most common primary filtration material in a water purifier, mainly u

sed to intercept large particles of impurities in the water, such as rust, silt, suspended matter, etc. The filtr

ation accuracy of the PP cotton filter element is usually between 5 microns and 1 micron, which can effec

tively protect the subsequent filtration materials and extend their service life.

2. Intermediate filtration

Activated carbon filter element: Activated carbon is widely used in water purifiers due to its strong adsor

ption capacity. It can absorb organic pollutants such as odor, residual chlorine, and pesticide residues in 

water to improve the taste and smell of water. There are many types of activated carbon filter elements, i

ncluding granular activated carbon, sintered activated carbon, etc., and their filtration effects vary depen

ding on the type and process.

Composite anti-scaling filter element: This filter element is usually used to remove harmful substances su

ch as discoloration, odor, and residual chlorine in water to further purify water quality.

3. Advanced filtration

Ultrafiltration membrane filter element: Ultrafiltration membrane is a filter material with a smaller pore si

ze, usually between 0.1 and 0.01 microns. Ultrafiltration membrane can filter out large molecular organic

 matter such as bacteria, viruses, and carbon powder in water, but it cannot effectively remove low molec

ular organic matter such as pesticides, herbicides, detergents, and harmful substances such as heavy met

al ions. The water purified by ultrafiltration water purification products can meet the standard of direct dr

inking in some cases.

RO reverse osmosis membrane filter element: RO reverse osmosis membrane is one of the finest filter ma

terials in water purifiers, with a pore size of only 0.0001 microns. RO reverse osmosis membrane can remo

ve almost all harmful substances such as bacteria, viruses, organic matter, heavy metal ions, scale, pesticid

es, etc. in water, and only allows pure water molecules with a volume of less than 0.0001 microns to pass 

through. Therefore, the water purified by RO reverse osmosis water purifier can be drunk directly without

 boiling.

4. Post-treatment

Post-activated carbon filter element: This is the last check in the water purifier, mainly used to improve th

e taste of water quality and make good water sweeter. Post-activated carbon filter is usually made of mat

erials such as coconut shell activated carbon, which has strong adsorption capacity and can remove impu

rities such as residual chlorine and odor in water, further improving water quality.

5.T33:Improve the taste of water

As the finishing touch in the water purifier filter combination, the T33 filter is located at the final stage of

 the filtration process. Since the water flowing through it is already pure water, the main function of the T33 filter is to optimize the taste of water. It can further remove tiny impurities and odors in the water, making the water sweeter and more delicious.
